Engineering CV for Saudi Arabia: Council Registration & Vision 2030 Projects

Saudi Arabia is building at a scale few markets can match, and engineering demand follows. But an engineering CV is screened on two specific signals before anything else: are you registered to practise, and how big were the projects you delivered?

Register with the Saudi Council of Engineers

Practising engineers in Saudi Arabia are expected to be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). State your membership status near the top; if you are eligible but not yet registered, note that too. It is the credential a hiring manager looks for first.

Show project scale, not just job titles

• Project value / budget you worked on (SAR or USD)
• Your discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical, process, etc.)
• Scope: design, site supervision, commissioning, handover
• Standards you worked to (Saudi Building Code, ASME, IEEE, Aramco/SEC specs)
• Software (AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, STAAD, ETAP)

Connect to where the work is

Vision 2030 giga-projects and infrastructure programmes drive much of the hiring. If your experience maps to a relevant sector — construction, energy, water, transport — make that link explicit. Recruiters shortlist for domain fit, so name the sector clearly.

Quantify like an engineer

You measure things for a living — do it on your CV. "Delivered a 40 km pipeline 3 weeks early and 8% under budget" beats "worked on pipeline projects". Numbers are your native language; use them.
