Privacy Policy

1. What We Process

We process the CV content you upload (the text extracted from your PDF or DOCX file), any job description you paste, and — if you make a purchase — the email address you provide at checkout. We do not require an account and do not collect passwords.

2. Why We Process It

CV content is processed to score, rank, and rewrite your CV. For AI-powered features we send relevant CV text to our AI provider, Anthropic, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Your email is used to record your purchase and issue your payment confirmation.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment data it collects.

4. Retention

Your CV content — the text we extract and any photo you add — is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) so we can analyse it, re-score it, generate exports, and let you reopen a session. We retain it until you ask us to delete it; contact support to request deletion of your data. Rewrite telemetry — the original and rewritten text of suggestions and whether you accepted them — is also retained to improve quality.

5. No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or CV content to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. After a purchase, a payment token is stored in your browser's localStorage so paid features work on this device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@hirerank.app and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to purchase records is restricted, and payment tokens are signed to prevent tampering.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
